On Saturday, July 25, a man from Poughkeepsie man was killed in a motorcycle crash.
According to police, the crash happened shortly after 8.30 p.m. on Vincent Road in the Town of LaGrange. According to witnesses, 49 year old Bobby Anderson, was traveling at high speed passing many vehicles in a no pass zone and then he lost control of his motorcycle. The bike fell and slid along the road with Anderson still on it and eventually came to rest in a field.
He suffered major internal injuries and two off duty nurses who saw the crash and who were traveling along Noxon Road, performed CPR. He was then taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center where he died under an hour later.
Police are continuing their investigation and awaiting the results of toxicology to know if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
